“It is about medical evidence and scientific facts”

— Andrew W. Campbell, M.D.

It’s about helping people

I’ve treated over 15,000 patients in the last 35 years. After about 6 months of my recommended treatment, most of my patients are healed, including those who have Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), while other experts can take years with little or no progress.

My goal is to provide accurate information and educate patients and professionals about molds and mycotoxins.  All information provided on this website is strictly to aid in healing. Unlike so many other doctors, I do not profit from treatment, nor do I partner with or promote any brands of supplements or prescriptions.

MANIFESTO

It's about integrity

There is nothing for sale. No unproven testing to use, no supplements of dubious quality, no kits for testing homes for mold, no referral kickbacks, and no books for sale. Absolutely nothing.

Many patients that come to me have gone through the diagnosis and treatments that were recommended by other professionals that work with mold. Yet, these patients are still sick. Why? Many of them have spent thousands of dollars on unproven and unvalidated tests and have gone through months or even years of treatments that have no medical evidence of helping anyone.

Unlike many of these professionals, I have lectured at prestigious universities and conferences around the world, written chapters in medical textbooks, and participated in studies on molds/mycotoxins by medical university centers. Throughout my career, I have published over 100 studies in reputable medical journals that require articles to go through the rigorous process of making sure everything written is proven and accurate based on research rather than opinion. My work strictly uses evidence-based and research-based methods, as opposed to the articles many unaccredited professionals submit to, which are referred to as predator or pay-to-publish journals that require no verification. Unfortunately, many of these professionals are simply experts in marketing themselves and their unproven diagnostic methods and treatments on the internet to the unsuspecting public, and it is important to know what you may be buying.

They should focus on getting mold and mycotoxins recognized and covered by insurance instead of simply lining their pocket, while people that can’t afford their pricy visits, testing, and supplements continue to suffer. It’s sad.

This website will provide you with medical and scientific evidence and facts from peer-reviewed medical journals for both diagnosis and treatment. Access to these medical journals is available through the National Library of Medicine website at Pubmed.gov, which is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).  My 86 studies are also available online with over 68,000 reads and over 1,000 citations. You can look up my studies on Pubmed.gov, and while you are at it, type in the name of one of these experts: the site will come up with one word: NONE.

It’s about healing

The age of my patients ranges from 2-years-old to 96-years-old, and most of them are well within 6 months. This may pose the question, why are so many professionals not seeing the same results ? I have received many emails from people who state that they have followed certain protocols or treatments recommended by other professionals for years and years without relief. Protocols refer to the same treatment given to separate individuals with different and unique issues. For example, a 22-year-old woman weighing 110lbs and a 55-year-old man weighing 235lbs with high blood pressure would be given the same type of treatment. I operate from the understanding that each person’s body is unique and different, which is why one type of treatment will not work for everyone.

To reiterate, my goal is to provide accurate information and educate patients and professionals about molds and mycotoxins. Therefore, I will give you before and after test results, before and after pictures of real patients, and treatments for each specific and unique patient, while staying HIPAA compliant. You will learn about what works and what does not, which will include the right tests and the right treatment. I have learned throughout my career that by doing the most accurate tests,  I can give the correct treatment.

Most of my patients come to me after having seen many doctors. They have had a myriad of tests and treatments and still feel ill.  Many have been told to see a psychiatrist. Many are doctors.

I start with a 14-page questionnaire. It goes through what you are currently feeling, your symptoms and how long you have had them, family medical history, review of systems, habits, current and past medications, and any serious illnesses, hospitalizations, or surgeries. The questionnaire also reviews your exposure history,  potential occupational exposure history, current and past nutrition, and so on. This is an extensive questionnaire that outlines your lifestyle and medical history, which will help me understand you as an individual.

Foods and molds and mycotoxins

The amounts of mycotoxins tested in foods have been shown in numerous studies to be below the Tolerable Daily Intake (TDI) set by the FDA, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and the U.N. Food and Agricultural Organization/World Health Organization Joint Expert Committee on Food Additives.

For that reason, mycotoxins can be found in the urine in healthy people.  However, elevated levels affecting human health is found in countries lacking implementation of adequate food safety policies, mainly in rural parts of certain African countries and rural China after harvesting with poor storage.
